It's your first birthday today! You have grown and changed so much and so quickly in this year that it almost seems impossible--but there you are, happy and smart and ornery :) As I was spinning you around today, dancing and giggling, I said a prayer that no matter what your life brings, that through the ups and downs, you will know, without question, that you are loved. Deeply, unconditionally, ferociously loved. Thank you for bringing such joy and life into our lives and for making me a mother. You are my most precious gift. I love you!
